Liz- Eve Arnold

Eve Arnold- 1912-2012

Eve Arnold was an American photojournalist who photographed iconic figures of the 20th century as well as social change and the poor. She is most well known for her photographs of Marilyn Monroe, and her photographic technique of using available light instead of setting up elaborate photographic lighting and using flash.

Robert Capa, born October 22 1913, was a Hungarian war photographer and photo journalist. He covered some of the most important wars in the 20th century including, the Spanish Civil War,  Second Sino-Japanese War, World War II across Europe, the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and the First Indochina War. Diagonal lines can be seen intersecting many of his images, many times crating a type of triangle and leading to a focused point.







Micha Bar Am - Jenny



Micha Bar Am was born in Berlin in 1930 and grew up in Israel. As a photojournalist, Micha documented war, conflict, and everyday life in Israel. The following photos have the same structure of strong horizontal lines.

Ian Berry is a photographer that works out of London for the Observer Magazine, traveling all over the globe for assignments. His photos demonstrate connecting elements between two subject matters,  as well as a third subjects stance in the background. A slanted horizontal line also plays a part in the connection within his photographs.
